MUSCAT

MUSCAT is a software package used for Monte Carlo simulation of the multiple scattering spectrum in the Compton experiment. It was written in the OCTAVE environment and can be used not only in the case of so-called relaxed geometry, but also in highly restrictive geometry, where large thick samples, arbitrarily collimated incident radiation beams, and detector fields of view can be considered.

The first version of MUSCAT was developed under the project “Development of Non-destructive Analytical Equipment and Method for Probing Chemically Reacting Local Area in Batteries” under the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) program “Development of Systems and Technology for Advanced Measurement and Analysis” (Green Innovation Area).
