Recent advances in nanofabrication techniques allow researchers to gain novel aspects regarding frustration via various quasistatic imaging and dynamic techniques. Here I present our magnetodynamics results on geometrically frustrated artificial spin ices (made of Permalloy nanomagnets on kagome lattices) that were studied using broadband spin-wave spectroscopy, Brillouin light spectroscopy, and micromagnetic simulations [3,4]. In the second part of my talk, I will address the topic of effects of aperiodicity on fundamental physical phenomena.
