The report is devoted to development of physical basis for control of photophysical properties of two-dimensional semiconducting transition metal dichalcogenides and creation of efficient nanoelectronic devices based on them.
Three types of structures based on transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) will be presented. The first type includes monolayers of solid solutions of two-dimensional TMDCs. The second type includes bilayer heterostructures of TMDCs. The third type includes monolayer TMDCs (WSe2) with periodic silver nanodiscs deposited on their surface
